Feeling

Have you ever had that feeling where you get caught up in life?
Something amazing happens and you go with it a while
Then, right before your eyes the time you put into in seems meaningless.
Not regret, just no sense of pride in what you have done.

Reflection for Independent#1

For my first piece I chose to write about how promises were broken. There is someone in my life that has broken many promises to me and I was thinking about it the other night while writing this. At a young age this person started to break every promise they made and after a wihle you start to loose faith and trust ing people.

Broken

Like the promise you made.
Like the plate thrown in rage.
Like my pinky you bent backwards.

He walked by and stopped; he turned and looked at me. He wrapped his arms around my neck tightly and I held him back. We just stood there hugging, and then he lifted his head and kissed my forehead. I was confused, I smiled and we both let go. He walked out the door but he waited in front for me to turn out the lights and shut the door.

Self Reliance

To rely on your self involes trust.
Trust is something that doesn't come easy to everyone,
Especially not me.
I have trust issues,
I can't trust you, or him, or her,
Or that group of people over there.
My family; I can trust them.
Can I trust myself?
Can I trust myself to make good desicions,
Not to set a bad example for those who look up to me?
Self reliance is a big responsibility.
